Straight White Men Theater Casting

Theater Stipend Posted: October 12, 2026 Production Type: Theater Location: Minneapolis Compensation: Stipend Union Status: Non-Union Deadline: October 25, 2026 Overview Searching For: Person in Charge #1 and Person in Charge #2: Gender non-conforming, trans, queer, and/or people of color actors. Per the playwright's explicit framing, the Persons in Charge open the show, set the stage, control the transitions, and physically guide the audience into the world of the play. They frame the traditional family drama as an anthropological study, serving as a vital theatrical and political counterweight to the narrative. These characters do not participate in the realistic narrative of the family drama; instead, they operate as the curation team, stagehands, and custodians of the narrative who subvert the traditional theatrical space. We are looking for actors with strong stage presence, a sense of ease, physical confidence, and a sharp performance edge. Non-traditional performers, activists, and performance artists are highly encouraged to submit. Cisgender white men will not be considered for these roles. Project: Straight White Men When three adult brothers gather to celebrate Christmas
